Discover Hawaii

Hawaii is like no other place on earth. It has got one

of the world's most active volcanoes and the world's

tallest sea mountain. Modern surfing started in

Hawaii. Hawaii is one of the youngest places in the

world and the youngest state in the USA.

The Islands

There are six major islands in Hawaii. Kauai is the

oldest island. You'll find each island offers its own

adventures, activities and sights. Oahu island is

where most Hawaiians live and work. Watch

professional surfers, relive American history in the

museums of Pearl Harbor, or take a surfing lesson

on Waikiki Beach. Maui is the second largest island

and has some of the best beaches in the world. The

waters off Maui are also some of the best places in

the world to see whales in the winter. Hawaii’s Big

Island is larger than all of the other islands

combined. It has got beaches, snow-covered

mountains, waterfalls, rainforests and Kilauea, one

of the world's most active volcanoes.

Travel Information

Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is Hawaii's

major airport. Finding accommodation in Hawaii is

easy; there is something for everyone from cheap

budget hotels to expensive spa resorts. The best

way to travel around Hawaii is by car but there are

also bus tours and there are boat trips to different

islands.
